Scott Lewis Landscape Architecture and the project architects collaborated on the strategic siting of this hilltop residence. Careful adjustments in the field created spectacular views from every part of the home, including the terraced courtyard which centers on Mt. Tamalpais. The landscape design is restrained and fitting to its site. Native grass meadows and clusters of native shrubs and trees, which require minimal watering, surround outdoor gathering areas of gravel and stone. An allée of white-flowering Cherry trees bisecting the house provides a spring color accent.
