Scott Lewis Landscape Architecture brought simplicity, serenity and site integration to this hillside home and art studio. SLLA crafted forms that responded to the terrain including a sinuous seat wall of California Brownstone that follows the beach bluff contours. Subtle grading allowed for descending Bluestone terraces surrounded by durable flora. The palette was limited to seven plants, all wind-tolerant and low-maintenance for this oceanside environment.
