Sited among rolling hills, a former dairy farm gains new vibrancy as a bucolic family retreat. Scott Lewis Landscape Architecture addressed water use and intense summer sun by using a plant palette of native and drought-tolerant grasses, adding more trees for solar protection, and selecting heat-resistant paving for paths and terraces. The project included the revitalization of a stream and creation of new outdoor entertaining areas.
